I · The place
A road, a lake, and fifty years.
It began with a road called Ivy Lane, a lake in the Crosslake area, and a family that wanted a place to gather for the next fifty years.
II · The build
What building our own taught us.
Building that home taught lessons no drawing could: where the light lands at seven in the morning, why a mudroom matters in March, how a dock and a shoreline shape the whole site, and how county and DNR shoreline rules shape what can be built.
It also showed us how a building process should feel, and how it often doesn’t.
III · The promise
The same home, with a calmer process.
Ivy Lane Homes exists to give other families that same kind of home, built new or renovated, with a calmer process than the one we had. We started on Ivy Lane, building a home for our own family. Every house since has been built the same way: slowly where it matters, quickly where it does not.

Three to five homes a year.
Ivy Lane Homes is an independent, owner-led Minnesota company. We design and build new custom homes and whole-home renovations in Edina, around Lake Minnetonka and the west metro, and in Crosslake and the Brainerd Lakes. We keep the number of homes small on purpose.
